Ruwindy Dalpadado

Ruwindy Dalpadado is a psychology and counselling professional with an international academic and professional background spanning psychology, psychological wellbeing, healthcare, and community-based care. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Missouri University of Science and Technology, USA, and a Master of Science in Clinical & Health Psychology from the University of West London, UK. Her academic journey has given her a strong foundation in understanding human behaviour, emotional wellbeing, psychological health, and the many factors that influence how people cope, adapt, and thrive through different stages of life.

Her professional experience extends beyond traditional counselling settings. In Sri Lanka, Ruwindy has gained experience in psychological and healthcare-related environments, including counselling and academic roles. During her time in Canada, she became deeply involved in the home and community healthcare sector, where she served as the owner and General Manager of a healthcare services organisation supporting seniors and individuals in the community. Her work involved coordinating care, supporting healthcare professionals, developing organisational policies and procedures, recruiting and managing staff, liaising with healthcare and community organisations, monitoring service quality, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of a growing healthcare organisation. This experience gave her a broader understanding of wellbeing — not simply as a psychological concept, but as something shaped by relationships, environment, lifestyle, physical health, independence, and the circumstances in which people live.
